We all want the best school possible for our children like we all want to live in our dream house. In reality, as we look, we have to make our lists of non-negotiables, high priorities, and acknowledge the trade-offs we can and cannot absorb.
On top of that, for families and for schools, we have to acknowledge that sometimes:
great students plus great teachers plus a great school can still lead to a bad outcome.
When we can acknowledge that, what is at stake changes to understanding we need the best chemistry between our children and their school, not the shiniest great school or the school with the best reputation, we need the school that is the best for our particular child.
When I support families with a school search, or support families and schools with parent-school-partnership, there is a lot of nuance and feel. This presentation will talk about things to think about in finding the best school for your family.
