The Connect Club Meetings for Parents, Teens and Children
The Connect Club: Building Social Connections
A welcoming social group for neurodiverse children, teens, and their parents.
Our goal is to create a supportive, understanding space where families can connect, share, and thrive together. Each month, we offer a thoughtfully chosen activity designed to foster fun, friendship, and a sense of belonging—for younger children and for teens together with their parents.
Participation is always optional—you’re free to join the activities that suit your family best.
For those who attend regularly, we also host private WhatsApp groups to encourage ongoing connection and conversation—one for parents of younger children, and another for parents of teens.
Children and teens with neurodiverse conditions often navigate unique challenges when it comes to social interaction and communication. Too often, they miss out on opportunities to connect with peers who truly understand their experiences.
This group aims to change that by creating a space where neurodiverse young people can meet others like them, build friendships, and feel accepted.
We aim to:
* Create a safe and inclusive space for neurodiverse children, teens, and their parents.
* Foster friendships and connection among children and teens.
* Provide peer-to-peer sharing of resources and support for parents.
* Enhance communication and social skills for children, teens, and parents.
Neurodiverse children aged 5 – 12 for the kids’ group, and teens aged 13 – 17 for the teens’ group (with diagnoses, self-diagnosis, or parent suspicions), and the parents or caregivers of these children and teens.
This is an activity amongst friends and not a commercial enterprise. Participants join at their own risk. While we will take as much care as we can, we do not accept liability in case of injury, or lost or damaged property. The likelihood of any problems is extremely low.
We would like you and all your family to feel welcome and comfortable – please let us know about allergies or sensory issues that might be relevant. It is possible that the group will decide to visit a play centre or a museum, and then the entry fee is the responsibility of the family.
