Experts in Belgium
About 40% of the questions we get asked are about finding experts and professionals that offer diagnostic and treatment options. Over the years, we have worked with and met many experts and professionals, and we believe that this kind of valuable information should be shared. This is why we have put together the list below.
These experts and professionals are happy to work in English or another language, since many of our community are not Belgian, and therefore not native French or Dutch speakers. We have categorised them the best we could, and we are very happy to update the list when possible. If you’ve consulted an expert who did a good job, please let us know. We will add them to the list.
Along with the many experts listed below, we also recommend Community Help Services. CHS has been supporting the international community of Belgium since 1971. They operate a 24/7 helpline in English, aimed at children, adolescents, and adults. Calls are free of charge, anonymous, and confidential. The helpline is staffed by a team of volunteers that is recruited, trained, supervised, and supported by the mental health professionals working with CHS. They also help parents get their children tested for Psycho-Educational Evaluations (Diagnostisch traject in Dutch).
